A DIY Coffee Inspired Wedding: Kristin + Jason

One of my closest friends (and old roomie) got married last month, this girl is seriously like a sister to me and we could spend hours on the phone. I was honored to be a part of her special wedding day as a bridesmaid and makeup artist, and I love her with my whole heart! We had all been very patiently waiting for this day to arrive, especially the beautiful bride. So, here is the day captured by the lovely Bethany Murphy.

The morning was quite relaxing and our sweet Kristin was so calm. Doing her makeup was nothing but girl chat and laughter. Her hair was done by one of the finest hair dressers and “Bestie of Honor”, Crystal VanBrimmer.

Oh, I forgot to mention this girl loves her coffee! Yes, we made a stop at Starbucks on the way to the ceremony.

Isn’t she absolutely stunning? This is my personal favorite. She belongs in a magazine.

I don’t think it’s possible for me to ever get sick of blogging about Sara and Steve, they’re such good friends and influences! Sara wanted me to do her makeup for this very special shoot she had been waiting for all her life!!! Well, maybe not ALL her life, but she wanted this shoot with photographer Amelia Lyon since before she even knew Steve! How awesome is that? Well, of course I said yes. So, here are the final photos. Absolutely amazing work, Amelia is such a talented photographer. You will not be disappointed!

This is my personal favourite of the two together, doesn’t Sara look stunning?! Ah!

…I told you she was amazing. Thanks Sara girl for letting me be part of this stage in your life, as a friend and makeup artist. Love you always and so happy for all God has blessed you with.

A Fashion Shoot: Emily

I had the pleasure of working with two great photographers Logan Cole and Sara Lucero (one of my best friends, who you have all seen here frequently) on an editorial fashion shoot. Our beautiful model Emily made my job so easy! Loved her natural grunginess and I had so much fun doing something indirectly beautiful with the makeup. Many thanks to Logan for making me a part of this shoot.

A Lovely Wedding: Sara and Steve

My dear friends Sara and Steve just recently got married and I am so blessed to have been a part of the big day. Not only as her makeup artist, but as one of her bridesmaids. I seriously could go on and on about how sweet Sara is (and about how much I love her photography, click here to see) , but you would all probably get sick of me talking about her. It will suffice to say she has the gift of encouragement and uplifting, which is why I don’t ever get enough of her company. Their beautiful day was full of joy, laughter, tears, dancing, and style to the most miniscule of details. Loved every moment. Steve, thank you for being a great godly gentleman for my lovely Sara. Now, onto the photographs, amazingly captured by the talented Jessica Pressley (click to get redirected to her lovely site).

I told you there were amazing intricate details in this wedding.

This day had Sara’s style all over it, which is exactly how it should be.

A Vintage Wedding: Paul and Ashly

Boy did we work our tails off at this shoot! So, I am proud to present the final product of this vintage mock wedding shoot. It was so fun to work with my styling friend Collette, who keeps working up until the last possible second and thinks of all kinds of details. Our photographer was Kim Robbins, check out her site for more styled shoots. Our models were Paul and Ashly, who were actually married! They were so cute and sweet with each other, it was really great to see their true affections for each other captured. I had a blast doing Ashly’s makeup, she looked stunning. I’ll let you see for yourself….

Did I mention how gorgeous the location was? It was an amazing place by the cutest little creek in Wrightwood…

All I have to say about these two is that they are very much in love. It has been such a blessing to see my dear friend Sara meet Steve, get to know him, and fall deeply in love with him. I am incredibly honored to know you both and thank you so much for the opportunity to be a part of this special time in your lives. As you may have assumed, I did the makeup for Sara on this engagement shoot (one of the many). This one was my favorite, loved the fun in the fair, photographed by the amazing Logan Cole . Enjoy!

I officially have a partner in beauty. Her name is Sara Lucero, she is an amazing photographer and one my dearest lady friends. For our first session we used the lovely Janelle as a model, my gorgeous sister in law who rocked everything from makeup, to hair, to wardrobe. I am in love with this shoot! Sara was able to bring to life what I had envisioned for weeks, which only proves how great our future collaborations will be.
